Edjukate’n dem Teahuggers ‘n Stuff…
Crooks and Liars offers a rather interesting education for Teabaggers.
Here, then, are 10 Lessons for Tea Baggers:
- President Obama Cut Your Taxes
- The Stimulus is Working
- First Ronald Reagan Tripled the National Debt…
- …Then George W. Bush Doubled It Again
- Republican States Have the Worst Health Care
- Medicare is a Government Program
- Barack Obama is Not a Muslim
- Barack Obama was Born in the United States
- 70,000 Does Not Equal 2,000,000
- The Economy Almost Always Does Better Under Democrats
Click here to read the proof cited for each of these points.
You know… it is awful hard to argue fact-cited statements such as these.
I do, however, cringe at number 10 though. Already weakened by including the word “almost”, the point also could be argued that Democrat economy triumph prospered more from incredibly good timing and a bit of luck with national/global innovations that were hardly the result of the Democratic administration (ex: Clinton - Info/Tech Boom). BUT… the point made still rings true!
What we need right now is a rational debate. There will always be argument between the Left and the Right — they will never truly see eye-to-eye. But they can work together, as America is a melting pot, our politics should be made stronger and truer by being formed with equal parts of both ideologies. We have proven throughout the last century that the endless seesaw of partisan politics only serves to divide the country more and more and in turn it weakens everything that America stands for.
It would be wise for parties to be as diplomatic to each other as we strive to be with our allies as well as our enemies throughout the world. Engage in discussions instead of the shouting and pouting that is going on today. Work together so that you can help mold that liberal bill into something not so overreaching and shape that conservative policy so that it does not simply inflate the better 1% only to trickle down to the rest.
That was the design originated by our founding fathers. They did not wish for an 8 year run of ultra liberalism only to be dramatically changed in the next 8 years with the most conservative government ever. It was never meant to be this endless tug of war.
It was designed around the idea of Checks and Balances… a setup that when it isn’t filled with partisan zombies actually works tremendously well at providing the best of both worlds for the entire nation. Somewhere along the line we fell into a partisan rut and continually tightened the two differing camps until they were such stark contrasts to each other and without anything left at all within the middle between them.
We need to stop looking further Right or further Left and start looking towards the middle. It is within that middle ground where the true hearts and minds of the people of the United States dwell. Start looking at them as your new base… and this country with truly change… and change for the better.

Right on JTS. Good thinking!!!! I would ask you to consider a few questions and please dig deep into your thought process. WHY??? Why are we so divided in this nation??? WHO??? Who is the winner in the divisive game??? WHAT???What are the winners achieving with this divisiveness. Rational debate requires clear honest analysis of the etiology of the problem and a wholistic approach to understanding what is really going on. Remember most political issues are about power and money.

I’m really not sure which party does a better job on the economy, but I differ with you on many points, being that I am a Republican.
But I agree with you 100% on the partisan bickering, frankly it seems that when either party gets into office they leave the voice of the people behind..
Great post..
